Honest answers about access.
We would rather describe the route truthfully than make a blanket claim that lets you down on the day. Here is what the tour involves, and how to get specific answers for your needs before you book.
The route, plainly described.
Walking and pace
A gentle, sociable pace over roughly four hours, with short walks between stops on ordinary city pavements. There are regular chances to sit, and the group never rushes.
Seating and standing
Some stops are seated, some are stand-and-taste. If standing for stretches is difficult, tell us in advance and we will plan seating at each stop where we can.
Toilets and breaks
Toilet access is available at several venues along the route, including the start and end points. Your host will flag them as you go.
Step-free access
Venues and pavements vary along the route, so rather than a blanket wheelchair-accessible label, we will describe the current route’s specific conditions when you contact us. [Full route access audit to be completed and summarised here.]
Sensory environment
Peckham is lively: music, market noise and busy streets are part of the experience. If that is a consideration for you or someone in your group, quieter weekday private tours may suit better.
Dietary access
Allergies and requirements are planned with our makers before the day. See the FAQs for how we handle allergens honestly.
Tell us what you need. We will be straight with you.
Email info@jekajeun.com or call 07356 250263 before booking, tell us about your access needs, and we will walk you through the current route stop by stop: distances, seating, steps and facilities. If the standard tour will not work well for you, we will say so and suggest what would, including private formats we can adapt.
